Bruce’s singing career
Started at age sixteen with a song entitled “It’s Impossible”, which won Bruce his first talent show. He joined the Marine Corps at the age of twenty and made a career of the Military.
Part of his military career included two tours in Vietnam as a member of the 1st Recon DIV, (Special Forces).
“I personally met Engelbert at Caesar’s Palace and he said he liked the way I sang “Release Me”!“
While in the military, Bruce was unable to sing except for in the shower.
After returning to his home in New Jersey, he began a new career with the U.S. Airways. While at home, he was able to start a band with five pieces called the Paramounts. Bruce was performing at local clubs when he caught his first break. He was heard singing by a man named Steve Winn, who owned the Golden Nugget casino in Atlantic City, and who now owns the Mirage in Las Vegas.
Bruce played Atlantic City for three years. While singing in a lounge at Caesar’s Palace, he personally met Engelbert Humperdink. Engelbert said he liked the way he sang his songs. He told Bruce if you still have the same people after three songs in your audience, you’re doing something they like.
Bruce also sang on Princess Cruise Lines for five years. Princess Cruise Lines loved the fact that he could thrill a whole new generation of music lovers who have heard the past love songs, but want to hear a fresh, new talent.
Bruce headlined at Van Wezel Performing Arts Center after moving to Sarasota, where he enjoyed notoriety in the local news. He continues to WOW audiences at many local Fraternal Organizations. His passion for music continues to fuel his personal efforts to help Veterans and their families.
